Why in News?
The Ministry has awarded tenders under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) programme, allocating domestic manufacturing capacities for advanced electrolysers.
Key Targets of the Mission
Development of at least 5 MMT (Million Metric Tonnes) of Green Hydrogen production capacity per annum by 2030, alongside an addition of ~125 GW of associated renewable energy capacity.
